He's making the same mistakes. Overpaying, giving creative control, hot shotting his big matches.
I make fun of Tony a lot. But I also do feel bad for him because you can tell he's a genuinely good dude. And you can tell he loves wrestling and he loves his employees. And he's naive. He's naive in thinking he can give people these lax contracts with creative freedoms and no set number of dates and that they won't abuse it.
Like he lets Mercedes Moné use his fucking private jet. He trusts his performers too much.
So yeah for all I say to make fun of Tony and his shitty booking I do have a heart too. I feel bad that he gets used. I think it's why Jericho sticks up for him so hard is because Jericho has been around the block and he knows how lucky it is that some of these newer guys have Tony. He knows how different Tony is to every other promoter ever.
