They can still salvage the situation for both easily though: Put Dawkins with Melo if you don't think Dawkins can't carry a solo or doesn't want to and let Montez do singles and parade Bianca around through Black History month as a power couple whatever midcard belt run first.
Meanwhile Dawkins could give Melo some much needed muscle. They could use that when they eventually bring Trick in because it's a similar looking team up.
That's the best immediate value for both them and one plus. You can always then tease a team up and return to dimeless form if you feel like doing the same frat boy gimmick when you are in your 40's for audience demand, but at least you'd know if people would want to see that anymore.
