Yes, it sucks that Russia bickers with its neighbors, but that's about the extent of their endgame, border harranguing, they can barely hold on to what they have to be dreaming of much more. We, the US, sometimes piloting NATO sometimes not, have leapt across the ocean, halfway across the world, to harass other countries, to depose Gaddafi, to arm the mujahadeen in a similar effort to stymie a Russian conflict and have that blow up in our faces literally (surely the millions in unaccounted for military assets sent to Ukraine and the literal neo-nazi Azov faction being allowed to represent and earn prestige in the land's defense won't have long-term consequences), to invade Iraq for the actions of Saudi Arabia.
