I always watched dark and liked most of the midcard talent and have been pretty disappointed at their ability to build anyone and get them over or give them identity. It's sad because it just seems to be get guy from WWE/Japan and feed talent too them.

Tony should just not worry about WWE and just focus on improving the product and keeping NJPW and CMLL happy. He isn't in a bad position really. AEW will never be bigger than WWE but if he can learn to be consistent and make a quality product he'll be fine.

i watch a match thinking oh theyre pushing this guy, and then nothing changes

its like tony thinks having the match for the matches sake is enough and if you like or are invested in certain wrestlers aew isnt for you

AEW gets solid talent but the wrestler is usually clueless on how to grow and Tony is definitely clueless on how to help them grow. The only ones that do kind of okay are the ones who get older hands as mentors.

If a guy that isn't over from being in another company wins a match it's because he's losing the next one. That's how aew operates. There are a small handful of guys who got their first national exposure in aew that are doing ok and Tony still buries them instead of giving them the run that they earned by getting over.

All Tony has ever had to do is go head-to-head with either RAW or Smackdown, or both. He'd siphon off WWE's viewing audience more if he counter-programmed them for sure.
