>>16238071Hard question to answer. I think I'm personally the most interested in NJPW currently, I think there's a lot of good things going on there. I love to see Zack as champ, I think the shakeup in the Jr division has been great and I'm excited about a lot of the young guys. The SANADA heel turn also stood out to me as notably well done. On the other hand I don't love Shooter challenging at WK and I think the mess with Ricochet/two day WK is fucking awful.
There's a lot of things you could complain about with NOAH, primarily the empty undercards, but I think there's good things going on there too. Kaito winning the N-1 as champ gives me a lot of hope that they're going to keep the belt on him for a while, which has been a long time coming. The midcard right now, most notably the red belt, has been fantastic, in my opinion. The WWE collaborations have been really good as well, and I like Daga as a dominant shithead Jr champ.
GLEAT, which is the third promotion I "follow," is a real mess right now going off their last couple of shows. Nakajima as LIDET champ is cool, and he's great as a shoot style guy, but I think it's a waste of talent and it has completely overshadowed the G-REX belt. Then there's their obsession with booking awful C-tier indie guys. I just hope Ridgeway sticks around because I've missed him.
As for the promotions I don't really follow but watch now and then, I stated my feelings on AJPW (or at least the Triple Crown) up there. I greatly enjoyed Aoki's reign as KO-D champ in DDT, and I think it's a shame that ended. I'm not huge on Brookes. As for DragonGate, people seem to like YAMATO a lot more than I do, though I might still peek in if I see a lot of buzz. On the real indie side, I've been loving pretty much everything Abe and his shooter buddies have been getting into. Kakuto Tanteidan 2 was fantastic.
>Short answer: NJPW>Long answer: Even though it feels like a valley right now, I find things to like in every promotion I follow.
