Outside of the UK being a big enough wrestling market that their own national promotion was possible in multiple different eras, Germans love wrestling. But Germans are the biggest smarks, so they're not "beyond nerds"

Where I live it's really niche and people would think I'm retarded for watching it so I keep it to myself and /pw/.
What really killed it here was getting paywalled behind subscription TV channels and now you can only see it via WWE network (which takes weeks to upload the latest episodes because of the American TV contracts), it's shoot crazy because we used to see PPV's for free on satellite TV, I would never have become a wrestling fan if I was a zoomer

It's pretty well known here.
The WWE had no market in the Netherlands for decades and I only ever heard about it in school when people were talking about the video games.
This year though, they sold out a major venue for a house show, and we don't even have it on TV. Not on legal TV anyway lol
