Volk and Tamura are probably the two best purely in-ring wrestlers of all time, not counting other aspects. Everything they did looked fucking perfect and like a legitimate fight, and it's impressive how great Volk was at pro wrestling with such limited experience. He didn't have many matches on tape but he also never had a bad one.
I think the last ten years of Western indie wrestling has given a lot of people a distaste for the idea of pure in-ring, sports-based wrestling, but I don't think people would complain if a modern promotion or its wrestlers worked on the level of some of the shit in RINGS.
