I know Tony really wants him but he'd be so wasted in AEW.
He'd have his match with Ospreay, his match with Ricochet, his match with MJF and then Tony puts him on the shelf where he is left to collect dust until he is thrown in with literally who on a random Collision every few months.
Speedball is one of my favorite wrestler right now and I would prefer to see him actually make it to the main stage. To WWE.
I think he'd do well. He'll never be world champion in any company but that doesn't matter. I could see him being the best IC champ.
Even better WWE could bring back the old cruiserweight championship. WWE has so many great cruiserweights right now but no title for them. And if the treated it the way the did when it was Tajiri, Kidman, Hurricane, Crash, Noble, Mysterio... Literal little killers who put on consistently show stealing matches and not the lame purple era of cruiserweights it could be kino. And Speedball would be the GOAT choice to kick it off.
It would give guys like Dragon Lee, Apollo Crews, Santos Escobar, and Tozawa who are struggling to find their place on the card something to fight for. And it would be great for young guns like Wes Lee who are killing it in NXT but will be forgotten when called up to the main roster.
When I was a kid the cruiserweights were just as exciting to see as the main event if not more so sometimes. Like I would go ape shit for Tajiri, Hurricane, and Rey.
