Ospreay has always been around the top of the card, right now though the top is Moxley's heel faction, so he slid down a bit to feud with and put over Kyle Fletcher as a heel

No that was one of the best moves in Ospreys run in AEW and the company's in general. It showcased that the company could rely on it's own trusted and tried talent to keep the AEW championship relevant and not whore it out to the flavor of the month wrestler like the E does with all of its titles. And it solidified Swerve as a main eventer. It also allowed Bruv to completely focus on the International title, which by the time he lost it had been elevated to the second most prestigious title in the company. It became literally the opposite of what the TNT title is where we are supposed to believe that it's second only to the world championship and not the complete joke that it is.

Because he becomes dimeless as soon as he stops chasing the belt. He’s a little bit like Danielson in that while he’s a fantastic wrestler, whether most people pay to see him or buy his merch largely depends on what feud he’s in. He’s not an attraction like the Rock or Stone Cold, or even MJF or LA Knight, where they’re charismatic enough to have people want to see them regardless of what they’re doing.

Yeah, though Ospreays title run had a better ending. Ospreay lost the title to an upcoming guy with talent like Takeshita and his loss set up personal feud for him which starts paying off right now, the match was also great. Gunther lost the IC title to freaking Zayn in an okay match, had he lost it to someone like Sheamus in Wrestlemania especially it would've been the perfect ending.
