I'm honestly not convinced Tony's wrong to think that. MJF getting a foothold in Hollywood is proof of concept for the AEW brand, that if you're special you can be fast-tracked and get real opportunities beyond wrestling

The problem is AEW doesn't do enough to uncover, train, and elevate talent. They aren't doing enough to make the next MJF

Sadly most young guys don't have a clue like MJF. They'll never work on their look, their gimmick or promos which are the three things that makes you a star. Anyone who shows that level of promise (MJF included btw) will be wasted by AEW.

He was technically in The Iron Claw. His big scene (that he was off AEW for months filming) got cut down to about three seconds of his legs being on screen. I assume the same will happen with this new movie.

I don't like to lay it all at the feet of the wrestlers, although they certainly should share in the blame. But if AEW wants to last as a promotion, you need to constantly be trying to make stars. That means the promos, the gimmicks, the looks, that all becomes the company's responsibility too.
