>>16307882Early 98 to late 99 Attitude was very different from the rest of it - the matches were shorter and generally not anywhere near as good, but the edginess of the skits and promos were so fresh and so popular and raunchy that it didn't really matter. People would pack the shows just to see the wrestlers in person and hold signs and aim their laser pointers into Kane's eye holes. Starting in the fall of 99 til that spring you had Jericho, Angle, and Benoit all get big pushes to shake up the top of the card, which was badly needed with Austin and UT out. At the same time, 2 Cool and the Dudleys came in and got crazy popular as well. The quality of actual wrestling got much better, though at the same time, the storylines started to get a little rehash-y. If you watch an episode of Raw from late 98 and then an episode from mid 2000, the feeling of the product is very different.
