Fans don't want to see the business exposed, there aren't that many fans to begin with, and saying negative things about people in Japan makes you look low-class. It is mostly contained to joshi circles and shit like that.

You can't speak ill of others in Japan. If they're not doing well, you can't dig inside a wrestler or company and tell the general audience why they're not doing well. You will be charged of slander over there. So the best way for them to not talk about a company or individual when they're doing badly is to not talk about them

You don't. You only talk about them unfavorably when they commit some kind of crime or embarrass themselves (and their country by proxy). Like recently, the Japanese PM on some world congress did not go around and shake hands with other world leaders, instead are sitting down looking at his phone. he's a good puro historian and is the only japanese wrestling journalist who is fluent in english but if you listen to his podcasts and you have some basic puro knowledge you notice how he tries to sell you a lot of kayfabe stories as legit and also never talks about any negative puro stories, it's like everything perfect in the puro world must be something with japanese mentality where you don't talk so much about all the backstage gossip

pretty much this, he's just ok to learn some stuff about puro history but also puts a lot bullshit stories and pushes his friends (Ogawa) as some masterminds behind the rise of AJW and never gets credit to the men who built that promotion to its legendary status the Matsunaga brothers, so even if a solid puro historian Fumi is full of shit if you have some solid knowledge of japanese wrestling and its history
