The lame later years of ECW were very much the precursor to AEW though. Vanilla shitters like Lance Storm and Justin Credible were getting pushed, RVD and Jerry Lynn were pioneering the choreographed slopfest together, and Tajiri was having heatless bangers on every show with Little Guido and Super Crazy. That era of ECW then led to ROH which led to AEW.
