AEW has had over 40 titles defended on their TV and none of them have ever been made to feel important.
WWE appears to be focusing heavily on their women and giving them a lot of TV time so it makes sense to give them a midcard title, assuming they use it. I don't watch WWE so I'm just basing this on what I've heard.
Ideally WWE would have one shared world title across all brands for each division and then a midcard title as the brand title for each show that acts as a sort of TV primary championship so every belt is important.
