I find it fascinating how they fail even the most basic "I'm rich and successful" heel gimmick even though that's about the only thing that could be somewhat attributed to them in real life, given the rumors about their salaries before and after AEW. Remember this dude on the left of pic, Slim J ? Dude was pretending his character was rich so he came out with a butler on AEW Dark. And it sucked, nothing worked. When he got let go there was all that talk about how much he sucked and he came out saying something about working 2 jobs while wrestling for AEW and didn't like his own character and basically was nothing like it in IRL:

It's that level of lack of authenticity with the Bucks, not for their wealth but way they pretend they are more relevant, revered and talked about than they really are. They don't pass the airport check, nobody gives a fuck about two wannabe juppies that chose the big family house in rich neighborhood instead of a playboy bachelor pad or mansion
