Nah but from 2015-2019 they were pretty chill. Not necessary at all, but were a nice warm-up for the last 4 or so matches.
Also they kinda got you hyped for the block match between the main guys in the multi man.

They don't use them to "set up stories" as much as they do to "give a light preview" of a match up that will be coming on one of the next few shows.
