>>16352738The venues are leased out for events by their owners.
Tony Khan needs to have good business relations with the owners in order to secure a venue for his events.
If those owners want to be associated with a successful and enjoyed product, that's easy to achieve, and the owners do business happily.
If your product is shit, unwatchably bad, antidrawing and antidimes, the owners do not want to be associated with it. They don't wanna host pure cancer.
Now money goes a long way to smoothing those fears, and Tony Khan probably pays the NBA venue owners hand over fist to have his shows there.
Can he, or will he pay enough to smooth it over with everyone? No. Too many local promoter's and proprietors are looking ahead, saying they don't want to be associated with AEW.
There's another side to that though, which is that Tony Khan is delusional and thinks this he's hot shit producing good shit. He refuses to pay enough to sway the better venues.
Thus Tony is limited to a small selection of venues who've already been associated with AEW too much to avoid the mockery in the nightclubs.
Also don't forget, if Tony thinks he's hot shit, going to the same places that make him look like hot shit will be his priority choice.
