Why didn't he go to ROH or NJPW like he referenced in the pipebomb? He had years to do it. It would have been infinitely less embarrassing than his run in UFC and he would have made more money long term from selling merch. Cody Rhodes did exactly that for a shoot and came back bigger than before.
