Yeah. He does the asshole character pretty well. They've been booking him pretty good too. I figured he'd be lost in the shuffle but I've been pretty impressed since I didn't really care for him in NXT.

ilja getting injured is actually a blessing for him because it effectively hits the reset button and gives him another chance at a successful push, the first of which was going nowhere, when he comes back

I'm sure it has something to do with it. It would have been easy for him to get buried after fucking up that one LA Knight interaction but he seems to actually be trying and has improved. The scuffle he had with Cody the other week before the match last night was good. Not saying he's mind-blowing or anything but he has been getting better.

I see him going nowhere. He's one of these guys that would have thrived a lot better if there was a WCW style cruiserweight division. Same thing with that Dragonuv guy. These guys need a division that isn't heavyweight nor IC/US titles. It isn't just that they aren't worthy of it. Its also because there are way too many wrestlers WWE has employed at this point.
