>>16412545Kek believe it or not AEW is getting paid for it. I know people will never hear it but the ratings talks truly are far, far more irrelevant than people make them out to be. The comparisons don't even make sense when we're pitting shows against each other that air on different nights, in different timeslots, some on cable, some on free tv. Smackdown's dropped a TON leaving Fox but it's not like WWE is in any worse shape for it. Because the truth of it is it doesn't mean as much as other shit the networks actually look to. Plus they do a shit ass job of actually telling you how many people watch. It's not the Attitude Era where the only way to see Raw or Nitro was to watch it on those channels. People watch through social media. People stream it online illegally. People download it off other sites later. The people pedaling the ratings are the ones who want wrestling fans clinging to that shit as close as they can. Looking to the dirtsheets. Meltzer, that one site that makes those graphs, any of them that can toss up a juicy looking headline to get traffic and engagement going on their sites and social media over this shit. There's a needless rant no one asked for but yeah. Ratings truthfully mean fuck all. AEW or WWE
