It's bad because they were close to a million or over it. They were competitive with the WWE years ago now they getting less than half of what they had, while WWE is still standing strong. The decline is much greater for aew

It's a probable indicator that the "television product" is poorly received by tv audiences but it's not bad for AEW beyond that in any real way. If the ratings were 1,000 sickos every week Tony would just go back to paying Turner for air time and AEW would continue uninterrupted. I don't think you understand the Khans' level of wealth + Tony's sheer autistic tenacity. AEW is his life now, he'll have to die for it to end. Nothing is bad for AEW, it's for Tony and whoever else likes some of what he thinks is good.

I really do feel like this is the point of no return. Last week's show was maybe affected by Thanksgiving, but there was no excuse for this week's rating.

It's just hard to see what will fix things at this point. It's not ex-WWE wrestlers. Cody and Punk aren't coming back. Omega and The Bucks are diminishing returns at this point. Kyle Fletcher and Daniel Garcia are not the answers.

I don't think the TV deal is secure as AEW fans think. TV shows get cancelled and changed all the time. If those numbers go too low, the deal will be in jeopardy.

WWE also did play a good hand vs AEW. They made them hotshot a bunch of stuff to compete with NXT and now AEW is out of new matches. They suckered them into taking stars they didn't want anymore who are now not helping AEW ratings. And they got Punk and Cody.
