But they aren't someone I want to watch every week. I watch story each week, storylines I can follow each week.

AJPW had a weekly TV show where they would showcase the stories, you can still find the 90s AJPW television on Youtube

as an addendum, it's still kind of worth watching because you see the builds to matches and a lot of backstage stuff. Also highlights which you can just skip if you watch the match.
Sometimes the highlights are cool though like this.
