Tony must have sold WBD on some completely ludicrous promises to get AEW renewed. The estimates that AEW is losing 200k viewers per year were completely accurate, meaning viewership will fall to 300k in 2025, 100k in 2026, and actual nothing in 2027. The only way renewing such a moribund company makes sense is if WBD thought Tony had some sort of cunning plan to save the company but its post-renewal freefall proves that isn't the case.

Gentleman, it is my belief that WBD is experiencing extreme buyer's remorse and AEW will be canceled in 2025 after the HBO Max pipedream utterly fails to salvage it.
