Promos are usually bad for two reasons. Firstly because they're scripted so the wrestler doesn't sound anything like the words coming out of their mouth (suffering succotash). Secondly because the wrestlers try to pre-plan them so they don't actually listen to the other person.
This was the second one. Here's what Ricochet would have thought
>Got to get the tournament over>Put over that Brody is big and strong>I HOLD ALL THE CARDSSo that's what he went with. But Renee's question was "how are you going to prepare differently" so his promo makes no goddamn sense.
This promo is the perfect encapsulation of Ricochet. He knows the right things to do. He has a strong finish planned. But it becomes wordsalad when he says it because he can't join up the dots to make it make sense. It's exactly the problem with his matches too
