The Elite (and I'm just inferring here based on what they've said interviews over the years):
I always go the impression Cody saw AEW as being able to become a real alternative to the WWE and a BIG company. He seemed to really believe and push for them to break into mainstream and grow as big as possible.
The Bucks wanted to keep some of the independent roots/feel (looking back they wanted to still be able to just do their indy shit but on a bigger stage hence why the Bucks got along best with Tony at least for a while).If I'm being fair the Bucks' mission statement at the start of the company was that they wanted to bring back tag team wrestling as a real attraction in the west.
Kenny always mentioned the term "smorgasboard of wrestling". He always talked about wanting AEW to showcase all types of different wrestling styles so that the western audience could experience American, Japanese, Lucha, etc. all under one roof and get all those flavors.
