I would hope. He could have been a 2x NXT champion, and a multiple time singles champion in WWE. He'd probably be multiple-time Universal champion, and maybe even a 1x WWE champion. A long reign. His matches against Reigns, and a few others, unironically would have been incredible.

Absolutely. Nobody knows Kenny Omega in the US. Even worse, the number of people who know Kenny Omega is less today than it was when AEW started. He's starting from square one, and no one is even looking for him. Many such can cases when you sign up with AEW. Your Q Rating goes down the toilet. I'm Kenny's case, he didn't have much of one to begin with, not in the US at least, not with US media.
