>>16488642this thobeit touches upon why the term "moveset" is frowned upon
it is nerd terminology that's essentially saying that you have a limited number of things you can do just by your programming ie you cannot do something outside that box of moves you're preprogrammed or animated to do
doing the same moves throughout a match doesn't have to be labeled as "moveset" because otherwise you're describing a pro wrestler as a FUNCTION (thx combofiend) or a set of moves rather than as a wrestler who just happens to use those moves, you're just getting the MOVESET over which is smark bullshit and why people who rely on MOVESETS aren't over, just what stunts they pull constantly are and is why these people are replaceable, but that's the gayew fanbase and of course it makes sense why THEY would love the term "moveset"
if you're going to like a ufc event, hell, if you go to like a point karate/tkd event even, you can talk about styles that, you're not talking about the contenders in terms of what limited array of moves assigned to them a la fighting games can do, like UHHH THIS GUY ONLY DOES RNC AND ARMBAR, THAT'S HIS MOVESET, AND THIS GUY ONLY DOES HOWDOKENS AND SPINNING PILEDRIVER, THEY HAVE DIFFERENT STRATEGIES FOR FOOTSIES AND ZONING and your wouldbe gf is like "wtf is this gook talking about, I need a real man to go out with"
like you're not gonna go to a tkd event and describe one of the guys as using only hienzan and hangetsuzan as part of his specialized tkd MOVESET like a fucking kof nerd even if he just happens to for whatever reason
cornette used to make fun of kevin nash of only being able to do "6 moves" and one of those moves was his hair toss
