Not really, lots of guys wore black just go check out sid. The big diffrence between goldberg and austin is promos, goldberg didnt speak while austin was a promo machine. The other big diffrence is that goldberg would wrestle while austin was kept as an in ring attraction to sell more ppvs since austin didnt wrestle every week on tv.

When I was a kid I hated Goldberg for this reason. I also remember around mid-2000 thinking everyone wore black too and I wonder if we would ever see colorful character again.

The comparison was just a retarded loosely visual likeness. Both had short black shooter boots, bald, goatee and black tights. Their characters couldnt have been more different. Goldberg was the unstoppable mute juggernaut running through the roster, Austin the mouthy griddy everyman anti hero fighting the man

They could've put Goldberg in any color tights they wanted, they could've put a design on his tights, they could've done a ton to distinguish him from Austin.

It was 100% deliberate on WCW's part and you're a dumb zoomer or just a retard if you can't accept that. Everyone saw it for what it was at the time.
