If you want to objectively know how good a wrestling match is, all you have to do is consult that week’s edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON) and look at the star rating that Dave Meltzer gave it.

This is true.
But Dave doesn't rate everything, and sometimes you need people to tell you whether the match you're watching is good or not.
That's where Cagematch comes in. Plus he doesn't rate wrestlers or companies, so it fills that gap as well.
