All I can say is, if you get it, prepare for some jankiness. It can by janky as fuck and that's part of the charm. And sometimes the game just straight up fucks you over in horrible ways.

Battleground sucks. I got it in a bundle for $5 and it's pure shit. Very shallow, WWE game for toddlers. Doesn't even have entrances.

Just to be clear, I was in my 20s when it came out and it was near the time when I stopped watching wrestling for around 15 years. I didn't really play any mainstream wrestling games after that one except Fire Pro.

Was there no blood in the first SVR? For me the biggest thing that was missing was the backstage areas. To go from all SYM and HCTP, hell even JBI and the first two Smackdowns, had to offer to completely scrapping it felt like a huge part of the game was cut off. Never really understood why they did. They could have just as easily left it the same and non updated if nothing else. But removing it just to have nothing in its place was such a bummer and made it feel like there was so much less to do
