This. NWO, Austin 3:16. Those shirts were everywhere. You couldn't go into a store without seeing some sort of WWF merch on shelves. WWE isn't a fraction as pervasive as it was during the Attitude Era. It was a part of the culture. Not just some niche bubble interest that was making a lot of money

if you weren't around this time period you have no idea how popular those things were
I'd see kids coming out of school with DX shirts, NWO shirts, Austin 316 shirts
even at work I'd see people with wrestling shirts
I think int he last 15 years i seen maybe a few young kids with Cena shirts
haven't seen an adult with a wrestling shirt on since the 2000s

Different eras.
Bloodline has more staying power and helped get more people over, also bigger draw in overall attendance, and way more moments. Merch sales probably lean to Bloodline with the way the business works now. NWO had the bigger initial impact and was right time right place to ride the wave of being a trend and compete with WWF. Bloodline was also greatly helped when Cody came back and the idea that fans had a top babyface to cheer again and the power levels on the card could actually change so it made everything matter more plus huge boost in ratings and attendance for Bloodline to work with and grow more.
