He left NJPW high and dry and could have signed with WWE and been a star potentially making more off of royalties and merch. Instead he chose to sit on his ass stagnating for an easy paycheck getting fat and old. Shame really.

How does this make him more entertaining for people to watch exactly? And btw Shinsuke did the same thing knowing full how Vince would have used him. Paul being as big a mark as Tony would have gotten more mileage out of Okada, let him rest and kept him on payroll for the next 10-20 years off of recurring income alone. Nobody even knows if AEW will even be around in 5 years.
