I think they will do something special for the December final match show, similar to Sting's retirement.
Let him pick the building, Cena themed show, lots of vignettes of guys he worked with putting him over, lots of his friends on the card. Topped off by his final match with a ton of fanfare. Maybe make it one of the NBC specials.
