>>16614774When all the ROH and CMLL shitters started showing up on TV over all the talent they already had. The company's biggest problem - and for some reason no one ever acknowledges it - is that their roster is too big. AEW simply has too many people signed to feature them all consistently. Bringing ex-WWE and NJPW guys was a good idea in 2020 and 2021 when the company was still growing. But after a while there were too many people there. WWE had the same problem pre COVID.
What makes this problem even worse is that Tony gives the guys he likes more focus than the guys who can actually get over. I gave up on AEW ever changing when they gave Orange Cassidy of all people a serious title run. The promotion still produces good wrestling from time to time but it will always be surrounded by dimeless shit that keeps people away. I was kinda hoping Tony would use the Death Riders angle to write a lot of people out of the company.
