Should I buy it or is this 2d, Sega Genesis looking game for fat, sweaty smarks? Everyone talks about how great its AI is but that's for people who watch matches in this game and pretend they're real. I want something fun to play that isn't as cucked as the WWE2K games are.

If it’s still on sale I’d go for it, just be wary you’ll need the DLCs too so it’ll be like £40 / $40 if you want to download edits. The gameplay isn’t too bad but takes time getting used to. The gameplay is a lot more arcadey than 2K and you have a lot more freedom to do moves whenever you want (eg there are no finisher meters). The real draw of the game is making edits and configuring the AI to wrestle how you’d want to so you might find the gameplay hit and miss.

Bro the best part of this game is going online and /HEEM/ing everyone. There’d be a bunch of gay marks trying to “work” matches and shit just run in and hit them all with overhand rights and jackhammers and win by critical KO. The best part is hearing them cry that you ruined their spot

everybody who gets this learns that it's fun to spend hours customizing moves and stats onto custom characters and making them fight each other. the controls are fine but after a while you realize strikes are crap and you're better off watching the psychology engine play itself. the mma stuff is somehow more fun

The gameplay is horrible and shallow as a puddle. Fire Pro is only good for creating wrestlers and watching the CPU fight itself but it's extremely good at those two things. It's the greatest wrestling game ever if you have a very specific form of autism. For everyone else there's AKI.

don't know why they made the hitboxes so fucking shit
if they wanted you to focus mostly on grapples, then nerf the strikes but ffs at least made them fucking work like in any decent game

it's a simple stamina regen system. you breathe after doing tons of moves. think of it like an actual wrestler, you're going to be winded after running the ropes and doing a bunch of moves, so when you have a minute, just breathe. it's fairly generous though, it's not like you're out breath after 3 moves.

Doing big moves and lots of irish whips completely winds you, so you got to take a few seconds and breathe to catch your breath. You can also use it to your advantage in some matches. MMA guys don't last long in pro wrestling matches because of all the irish whips and moves cost them stamina. Giant wrestlers such as Andre and Baba can be beaten by spamming irish whips on them and they tire out hard trying to catch their breath.
