I didn't watch it, but I skimmed through the netflix vod. Are they really doing 3 hours with no commercial breaks? I didn't see any commercials other than some promos for live events or vignettes. They couldn't have made it 2 hours without the ads?

I always found that weird. I remember watching one of the DVDs at the time. Probably like 20 year anniversary of raw or some shit. And it had a clip of vince explaining how they wanted the show to be cool and edgy and look more real and gritty and that's how they got the 'raw' name. And then you look at the the current product and realize oh you know overproduction is bad so why does it look like this.

Every TV show looks overly polished, clean, and plastic now. This isn't a problem confined to just Raw or wrestling. High definition killed all the contrast and grit.

The purpose of the new presentation is to highlight how packed the arena is. It's ironic, but AEW's perception got worse once WWE started to show their crowds more. It really helped drive home the reality that both companies are on completely different levels. Apparently the interest, attendance and ratings of the major pro sports leagues are down too. It really says a lot that WWE is selling out arenas every week while even the NFL has trouble selling out games. WWE is truly mainstream again.

I disagree, the aesthetic of the show legitimately looks far better than the garbage they had in 2015... seriously go back and see how they had everything 10 years ago...Raw had this disgusting peto bismo look, the show looks better but holy shit is it still beyond dogshit
