Yeah, that's part of the problem with pro wrestling these days. Most indie wrestling is weird and cringe. So are most of the fans too. Hopefully WWE ID can help clean up the indies and improve the caliber of wrestlers and fans involved. If there was an NXT 2.0 style replacement of the dimeless vanilla midgets with actual NCAA tier athletes in the indies it could revive the biz.

Indie wrestling has never been seen as the heart and soul of wrestling. And many of the stars of tomorrow/today are viewed by fans as Hey I saw him or her on the indies a few years ago in my city.
The indies are discount, low budget in many ways. She's just mad the E don't want her ass.

This. 95% of wrestlers grew up on WWE and want to get there. Small percent want to wrestle in Japan like Omega. Only mentally ill self marks like nick gage or sami calihan would be happy wrestling in front of 80 people.
