>>16679215Those who watched RAW on Netflix last night were treated to several hours of enthusiastic reminders that they were using Netflix to watch RAW. Here comes another Saturday Night Main Event PLE, and the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia, and more two-night supershows, and absolutely no talent that has emerged as a draw absent the creative instincts and promotional mastery of Vince McMahon. It didn't really hit me until after RAW that all the old stars and the three biggest draws on the active roster (Cody, Roman, Punk) owe most of their success to Vince. Post-Vince and since WM40, the main storylines have been really weak with Gunther and Cody going through the motions to build up their more or less heatless title matches, while no one in WWE Creative had the sense to realize that Solo Sikoa isn't capable of effectively fulfilling the role of top heel on camera even though they scripted him as such. Vince's absence is felt more and more, just when the executives benefiting from the machine he built are shaking their dicks over how much money is circulating because of it. I hope I'm wrong, but I can see the first RAW on Netflix being featured on future documentaries as a watershed moment in the decay of the mainstream relevance of American professional wrestling.
