Waiting until last year to give him the roll call was an awful mistake. I couldn’t get nearly the enjoyment out of that moment that other people did. All I could think about during that moment was how completely and utterly WASHED Naito was and that I would've rather seen him get the roll call when he was actually in good condition at WK12 or WK14, or even give it to him at WK15 in hindsight with how Ibushi turned out

The KENTA ending at WK14 was pretty gutsy, I can't fully hate on Gedo for it. Retrospectively it definitely should have happened that night, but nobody could have predicted a world-wide pandemic to throw their booking into the wind.

I went back to watch G1 Climax 2017, he was one of the fastest guys in there. No doubt he was probably breaking down even then but the decline has been rapid, for a guy only 42 he moves like a 60 year old. One of the GOATS though
