You can tell that LA Knight sat in front of a computer for a month with a notebook in front of him. His goal was to watch every single Stone Cold and The Rock match/promo to scientifically distill what made them work. It's like he made his gimmick in the lab to replicate them as much as possible.
- Theme that can be used as an interruption (the "L, A, Knight" sample, same as the glass breaking or the IF YA SMELLLLL)
- Signature hand sign (the "LA K")
- Signature pose on the top rope (like the Rock's belt pose, and Stone Cold's two-fist taunt)
- Finisher that can be hit on anyone, "out of nowhere", set up exactly like the Stunner
- Catchphrase that can be chanted like WHAT
- Catchphrase that can be yelled easily by anyone (one syllable, language independent)
- Catchphrase to end a promo ("everybody saying...")
- Catchphrase that comments on his positives (Kavorka, etc)
- Catchphrase and interaction with the crowd during moves (elbow drop)
- Casual attire with his own logo (the knight helm, compared to the skull or brahma bull), vest, etc
I'm going to give Eli Drake the credit that he actually thought "I'm going to need to steal to succeed", but it doesn't change how manufactured it feels.
