>Did the moves and spots make sense regarding the story of the matchIt should follow a structure. Moves should serve a purpose. The story of the match is different than the storyline leading into the match.
>Creativity Are they doing something new? Are they building upon previously done moves/angles? Are they subverting expectations?
>Did the wrestlers showcase their personality through in-ring actionsTheir character should come through clearly through their actions. I should be able to tell everything I need to know about a wrestler just by watching the match.
>Audience reaction Was the crowd into it? Did the wrestlers do a good job of making the audience care about the match? Did the wrestlers get the desired reaction from the crowd? Did they work with the reactions to enhance the drama?
Wrestling is not real. It's a performance art form. Yes you can measure objective markers of sales, but that is not a reflection of the art of wrestling. I don't discuss streaming metrics when I talk about music. I don't talk about box office figures when discussing movies. I'm not going to talk about ratings when it comes to wrestling because I don't care. I don't care about how much money some dickheads made by shilling alcohol or goyslop. I don't care how much marks spent on tickets or overpriced merch. I care about how entertained I was while watching the matches. So that's what I look for.
