It’s horse shit that Meltzer doesn’t think Kurt Angle hasn’t had a single 5 star match. Angle and Omega are both all time greats. Angle for obvious reasons as he was one of all time great ring technicians and a main event draw in both the Attitude Era (not like Rock and Austin obviously but once he broke out of the midcard and got his big push ge was a fixture in the AE in his own right) and Ruthless Aggression and Omega not just for his matches but for making the waves that he did in his prime/2016-2019 completely independent of the WWE and selling merch in the west to the extent that he was as a New Japan star. The fact that he is historically (well to my knowledge at least) the only guy in the last 10-15 years that the WWE bent over backwards for and put out promotional material on their outlets about him when he was with New Japan on mere hopes of signing him in free agency says a lot. And that was Vince’s fed. He doesn’t bend the knee for any competitor which shows how coveted he really was.
