No? I think if anything most AEW fans have soured on him over the past year or two. Between all the retarded devil shit and especially the Adam Cole feud, not to mention his god awful title reign is where the big shift in ratings happened. Guy needs something new or a different spin to his shtick

He can be. But often time he just relies on being the latter. He was fantastic in his feud with Punk because there was actual substance for him to get into with his promos. When he has that he can be amazing. But when he does it's just the same tired cliche of heel promos with a sprinkle of profanity

Of course it works. Look at Edge. Back when he was starting the Judgment Day stuff. Crowds did NOT want to boo the guy. He had to resort to that cheap shit just to try and get them too. Even that didn't work kek. But it is also really shallow content. Has no depth. So when it's your weekly go-to it gets tired. MJF has great delivery so give him something better to deliver is what I'm saying. Because he'll knock it out of the park

You're right but there would have always been the 'hey whatever happened to this story' crowd as well. Kinda damned if they do damned if they don't. A few months to wrap it up and actually put it behind them both with everyone knowing it's actually done and over with is probably for the best. It's not like either had anything else they were involved with plus with MJF in and out with filming it worked having a feud that was already established. All that said I'm so glad it's over
