Dolph was (probably still is but I don't watch TNA) a brilliant bumper. Would make guys look like a million bucks. Sold just as well. Fell into the same trap plenty before him did and became seen as a 'good hand' and was endlessly used to put over guy after guy after guy. Got really bad when he was essentially the welcoming committee to anyone new coming on and he'd had a feud with them and lose just put them over. Not unlike what Gable's being used for between the Wyatts and Penta etc. Went on until Dolph had no equity left and they sent him back down to NXT and eventually let him go

His contract was up with WWE earlier this year. He ran it out to the end and then ultimately made the choice to stay there. He was feuding with Sami and Gunther for the IC title prior to doing so to make him think they had big plans for him. He re-signs and immediately plummets down the card to doing all that shit. Thus signing the mark contract
