Ospreay who was injured by Shingo spends over half a year shitting on Shingo and calling him out as a false Champion. Rather then fucking have them face off to decide everything on Night 1 and face the G1 winner, Okada on Night 2, they blow by that entirely to go straight to Takagi/Okada on Night 1.
Okada who has been calling the new world championship shit and gay since it's creation and presenting the former IWGP hebbyq as the true Hebbyq belt fights Shingo, on night 1, old belt in hand and wins.
After establishing his truth that the title and it's holders are shit with his win, He then celebrates with the New Championship that he has been calling shitty and trying to replace for months only making the title look even more shittier than it ever was before. He then faces Ospreay on night two and provides more of the status quo and wins the title Ospreay had been propping up and building for that last half year fully demonstrating that the title has always been shit.
Ospreay/Takagi needed to be night one to settle that feud and push up the new belt as relevant.
Night 2 should've fought the G1 winner, Okada for belt vs belt and if they aren't changing the belt back, Ospreay or Takagi had to WIN night 2 to validate the new title.
In turn Ospreay was ruined.
UE was ruined.
Takagi was ruined.
The new belt came out even more ruined.
All just so Gedo could leave the fans with mindless OKADAWINSLOL.
It was fucking dumb. On a night multiple people and entities could have been made, nothing was. The entire Wrestle Kingdom main event scene was an absolute mess. They went with the safest most boring option and now fans were left with little reason to invest in anyone else.
