The promo battle was pretty bad and awkward, but there's nothing paticularly wrong with the line. Dave is just a sperg. It's only recently JJ has found any real appreciation. No one really liked him when he was always going over in TNA and got a reputation as a big carny his whole career and was only getting bookings in Mexico for ages. Unless Dave actually thinks AEW is dying I don't know why he's flapping about some narrative
