Deion Sanders said it best when he said baseball was the hardest sport to play and that the reason there aren't more black guys in baseball is because it's hard game that requires a ton of dedication and a lot of them want to go for the easier money.

The truth is that you can make the most money in baseball out of any sport as a player because they have a good union. 750 million for Juan Soto this year, an insane number.

If you can consistently hit 300 and knock in a good amount of runs, you can make nearly a billion dollars playing baseball in a single contract.

LA is full of asians and all the west coast teams heavily market to japan. the dodgers had a fucking hololive night.
The other big thing is a lot of guys are going to LA and then having career years so LA knows how to coach guys which means going to LA will increase how much you get paid on subsequent contracts and endorsements
