I don't get it. When he talks irl he has the Jersey accent or whatever and actually has some bass in his voice and could be an alright character. But then on promos he sounds like a nerd and just talks about how much he loves AEW and fake fights. Same with Eddie, he used to have a street character and cut decent to good promos, now he is yet another guy larping as a puro guy.

I think it was also just the crowd.
They kinda did the same for OMEGA and his entrance was pretty quiet.
Though a part of that was probably his new theme. Canada taught me that the vast majority of AEW viewers don’t actually watch NJPW at all

What good does it do me as a fan that these guys look like shit? Even if your health claim are true, when they are in fact very dubious, match quality has been in a free fall sense the 80s, psychology slowly drained from the art form over the last 30 years and now even the individual moves are executed like shit.
