I don't think anyone is sincerely saying that TNA is bigger than AEW now, or that there's any chance of that happening any time soon. But having this relationship with WWE is going to be great for TNA, since now people know that working with TNA is a way they can get their foot in the door with WWE. And there's no risk of being locked in Tony's prison. If I'm a young wrestler with aspirations of wrestling at WrestleMania, TNA is now a very attractive option.

Don't get worked by podcasters who report on the Dave Meltzer industry, instead of the Pro Wrestling industry. This is simple news to understand.
WWE has lots of ways to fuck with AEW because they are the #1 wresting entity in the world and AEW is a pissant secondary fed.
AEW has one way to fuck with WWE, utilizing the deep pockets of the Khan family and WBD to overpay wrestlers to keep them off of WWE's roster.
WWE is partnering with TNA so they can lockdown developing and legacy talent and prevent them from signing with AEW, without having to put them on NXT or the main roster immediately. It's standard mergers and acquisitions for modern business. WWE wants to partner with as many wrestling companies as possible, just to prevent them from partnering with AEW. The same way Nissan merged with Mitsubishi and is trying to merge with Honda so they can better compete with Toyota and keep Honda/Nissan from being bought by some non-jp firm. All these companies are trying to get as big as possible to strangle each other out.

That's the real story, fuck the worked Dave vs. Cornette version of the headline.
