we thought ecw was real and there was a rumor it was real that got us interested in other stuff like the backyard wrestling shows and whatever indieslop VHS and DVDs were at the video store too instead of just WWF and WCW
that obviously led to giving tna a chance when it was on tv and we were all excited for the ecw revival which was disappointing, though I can't say any of us were ever ecw fans or anything, I had one of the games for N64 but it was just no mercy with a barbed wire match and a bunch of wrestlers no one knew except for the guys who'd end up in wwf
